This manual integrates exercises for a healthy pelvic floor with postural and vertebral column movement training. The method is based on somatic education and it includes insights about anatomy and movement organization, grounded in human infant development. It offers new perspectives to anyone working in the movement disciplines, such as physiotherapists, gymnastic teachers, yoga teachers, midwives and other practitioners in the health field.

Props which include different sized balls and elastic bands, bring a liveliness to the large number of exercises proposed. Photography, synthetic descriptions of the movements and an exhaustive demo-DVD make it easy to immediately apply the method to teaching or home exercising.

Veronika Wiethaler è laureata in «Educazione di Musica e Danza» e ha completato la formazione in Body-Mind Centering (anatomia esperienziale) negli usa. Lavora come docente di aggiornamento in Germania e Italia. Dopo la nascita di sua figlia si è specializzata nella riabilitazione del pavimento pelvico. È stata relatrice ai convegni: «Pedagogia e Maternità» (Genova 2005), con conduzione di un workshop sulla ginnastica perineale per ostetriche, ginecologhe e altre operatrici intorno alla nascita; «Prevenzione, diagnosi e terapia delle alterazioni del pavimento pelvico» (Genova 2005); «L’esperienza del movimento in chiave evolutiva: il bambino, il genitore, l’operatore» (Tuscania 2006), organizzato da Leben, Associazione Culturale Promozione Sociale e asl uoc, Neuropsichiatria Infantile asl vt. Collabora con Gabriella Pottocar nello Studio Medico Olistico a Genova.
