This book summarises the outcomes of the ASIA PROECOEuropean research, “Design of eco-sustainable industrialparks with very low environmental impact, reduceduse of water and energy resources and optimized wastemanagement, feasibility study for implementation of ademonstration project to be realized in Asia”, developed bythe local unit in Perugia, in collaboration with the Malardalen University in Västerås (Sweden), the Institute of Engineering Termophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciencein Peking and the Dongguan University of Technology. Theprincipal objectives of this research concerned the elaboration of a feasibility study finalised to the realisation of two Industrial Parks in China: the first for 15,000 people situated in the South, in the region of Guangdong (close to the city of Dongguan); the second for 2,000 people, situated in the North, in the Shandong region (close to the city of Dezhou).

Paolo Verducci, Architetto, ph.D, e Professore Associato, insegna Composizione Architettonica e Urbana presso l'Università degli Studi di Perugia. Attualmente dirige il Laboratorio di Ricerca, Progetto e Costruzione, attivo presso il Polo Universitario di Foligno dell'Università degli Studi di Perugia (Centro Studi Città di Foligno). La sua attività di ricerca è incentrata sulla sostenibilità dell’architettura, sullo sviluppo urbano e sulla conservazione e trasformazione del patrimonio edilizio esistente (recente e non). Le sue opere ed i suoi progetti sono stati esposti alle Biennali Internazionali di Architettura di Venezia nel 2007 e nel 2012 e nelle mostre internazionali di Roma, Milano, San Pietroburgo e Dubai. È responsabile scientifico del del Master di II livello Progettare Città Intelligenti e della collana editoriale “Pro Gettare. Innovazione e valorizzazione del territorio e del patrimonio edilizio storico” presso la casa Editrice Morlacchi di Perugia.
