The Medieval Garden is a thematic installation within the Botanical Garden of Perugia, dedicated to the monastic garden and medieval symbolism. This guide leads visitors through a journey divided into three stages, both physical and conceptual: Eden, an area symbolizing Paradise; Woodland, a space for spiritual reflection and primordial chaos; and Horti, which hosts the cultivation of edible and medicinal plants, representing human rationality. The botanical collections are presented through a curated selection of significant species, interwoven with the symbolic and conceptual narrative of the garden’s spaces and elements.
